Previously in Tekken 4, she wore her hair down, but, as of Tekken 5, she wears it tied up in a ponytail. Her secondary costume is a more casual attire that features a patterned shirt tied at the front, paired with shorts and sandals. In her Player 1 outfit, she always wears Capoeira pants and fights barefoot, wearing a bikini top that changes design from Tekken 4 to Tekken 5. She also displays equal skill to Eddy in terms of Capoeira, showing off with agile maneuvers.Ĭhristie has long brown hair, light brown eyes, and tan skin. Her kind nature is also emphasized in her Tekken Tag Tournament 2 ending, where, despite desperately wishing to reunite with Eddy, she pauses to help a lost child find their mother, causing her to lose her opportunity to get on the same train as Eddy.Ĭhristie has a playful side to her, often teasingly asking her opponents if they hurt themselves during her win poses. She is one of the few characters in the series to fight on behalf of others, rather than for vengeance, entering the tournaments to find her master Eddy, as well as to help her Grandfather. She does not fight out of envy, but rather always with a very specific goal. Eddy threw away his ties to Jin and the Mishima Zaibatsu, and hereafter seems engaged in a personal vendetta to hold Kazuya Mishima responsible for the deaths of his parents.Ĭhristie is not a particularly combative character. Christie was initially irate at Eddy for his disappearance, but embraced him soon after, as both grieved her grandfather's death. ![]() Despite the expertise of the Zaibatsu, her grandfather died anyway. In her likely canonical Tekken 6 ending, Christie stands by her grandfather's grave. Christie returned to Japan when the sixth tournament was announced, seeking both Eddy and her grandfather. She returned alone to Brazil, only to find that her grandfather had also disappeared, and had apparently been sent to the Mishima Zaibatsu for treatment. All Christie initially knew of this was that Eddy had disappeared. Eddy agreed to work for Jin's Tekken Force in exchange for medical care being given to Christie's grandfather. When Christie and Eddy failed to win the tournament, Eddy, unbeknownst to Christie, brokered a deal with tournament winner Jin Kazama. They both entered the fifth Iron Fist Tournament to try and gain access to the scientific advances that might save him. The advanced technology of the Mishima Zaibatsu however gave her and Eddy a window of hope. Christie rushed him to hospital, where she was told he had a terminal illness and would die within six months. Ĭhristie's grandfather was eventually released from prison, but his time there had left him emaciated and weak. Christie entered the fourth Iron Fist Tournament hoping to find him. Eddy disappeared shortly afterwards however, intent on pursuing revenge against his parents' murderers. Christie quickly picked up the art and became adept at it. Whilst in prison, Eddy promised his master that, on release, he would teach capoeira to his master's granddaughter.Įddy sought Christie out after he returned from the third King of Iron Fist Tournament, and taught Christie for two years. Eddy studied under Christie's grandfather for eight years in prison, becoming a master of capoeira. He attracted the interest of a young Eddy Gordo, in prison under false charges. During a prison riot, he defended himself impressively by using the art of capoeira. She cares deeply for her friend, Eddy Gordo, who learned capoeira from her grandfather, and in turn taught her.Ĭhristie's grandfather was doing a long stint in prison. ![]()
